From Wasted Space To A Useable Feature
We were referred onto a customer residing in Parkmore, Johannesburg from one of our previous clients and what he wanted was to transform his unusable, eye sore of a flower bed and turn it into a decking area that can be used to accommodate his family where they could relax on the new deck and look back onto their stunning house and garden.
The existing flower bed was in a difficult position for plants or flowers to grow so it was basically just a sand box with 2 established trees growing in it.
we set out leveling the sand pit to start creating our framework structure which would be concreted into the ground and would carry the weight of our new deck.
Once all of our frame work had been assembled and secured, we then set out fixing our newly treated decking to the substructure to create the final result which is an extremely useable area that finishes off the previously unusable area and has now created a great
feature in the garden with the combination of the two established trees which we were able to keep in place as we made provision with our decking to work around the trees to incorporate them neatly into the new decking area
The walls were then later painted and furniture was added to the decking to complete the area. The client is ecstatic with the final result and that his “eye sore” flower bed has been transformed into a timber deck feature of its own.
